A torn ACL is reconstructed arthroscopically using a graft sourced from the patient's own tissue or the Jewel ACL synthetic graft for appropriate candidates. The graft is passed through precisely positioned tunnels drilled in the femur and tibia, restoring the anatomy and rotational stability of the knee. ACL reconstruction is one of the most commonly performed arthroscopic procedures at Axcura Ortho.

Posterior cruciate ligament tears causing significant instability are reconstructed arthroscopically. PCL reconstruction is less common than ACL reconstruction but follows the same principle of restoring the native ligament anatomy through a minimally invasive approach.

Repairable meniscal tears are repaired arthroscopically, preserving the meniscal tissue and its shock-absorbing function. Where a tear is not repairable, a partial meniscectomy removes only the damaged portion of the meniscus, leaving as much healthy tissue as possible. Focal cartilage lesions identified within the knee are treated arthroscopically using microfracture, cartilage fixation or other restorative techniques depending on the size, location and depth of the lesion. Early treatment of cartilage damage protects the underlying bone and significantly delays the onset of osteoarthritis.

Recurrent patellar dislocation is addressed through arthroscopic medial patellofemoral ligament (MPFL) reconstruction, which restores the restraint preventing the patella from dislocating laterally. MPFL reconstruction reliably prevents further dislocation and arrests the progressive cartilage damage that recurrent instability causes.

Diagnostic Arthroscopy and Minor Debridement
